Are you always struggling with shoulder flexibility in backbends? Do you often feel a muscular block?

This workshop will go through how to use the muscles around your shoulder blades to open up not just your shoulders, but also your neck, chest and upper back. We will go through different methods to open your shoulders in different shapes such as lunges, bridge and handstands, as well as how to troubleshoot common issues that block shoulder and upper back flexibility.

We will also go through how to maintain shoulder flexibility when doing other disciplines such as aerial and handstands!

Week 1: Shoulder alignment in backbends, how to use shoulders with neck and upper back.

Week 2: Elastischool Physio TANJA HOCH comes in to talk about shoulder anatomy and common shoulder issues.

Week 3: Shoulder opening in contortion shapes such as bridge, cobra, etc.

Pre-reqs: Flexibility experience required. Weekly homework will be given and progressions will be provided for everyone.
